1 minWear an anti-static wrist strap and attach the clip to a grounded metal object. This protects sensitive internal components from electrostatic discharge.

Insert Plastic Opening Tool
1 minInsert the edge of a plastic opening tool into the notch on the bottom corner. Gently twist the tool to create a small gap.
- 5
Unclip Lower Clips

Lift Old Battery Edge
1 minInsert a plastic opening tool or fingernail into the recess. Pry the bottom edge of the battery upward out of its bay.

Clean Contact Terminals
2 minDampen a cotton swab with high-percentage isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the gold contact pins. Allow the alcohol to dry completely.
