Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power button on the right side, then tap Power Off on the screen.

Heat Back Glass
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer around the perimeter of the back glass for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward firmly to create a small gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minPush a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back panel and the metal chassis.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter glue.

Remove Back Cover
1 minLift the rear glass completely off the chassis and lay it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Module
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the lower speaker assembly.

Pry Up Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger into the notch beside the speaker housing and gently pry it upward.

Remove Speaker Module
1 minLift the old loudspeaker assembly out of the phone frame.

Clean Contact Pads
2 minLightly wipe the metallic contact pads on the daughterboard with a lint-free swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

Position New Loudspeaker
1 minPlace the new replacement loudspeaker assembly into the bottom cavity of the phone frame.

Secure Speaker Screws
2 minReinstall the five Phillips #00 screws to lock the loudspeaker module into place.

Apply New Frame Adhesive
3 minPeel and align a pre-cut replacement adhesive strip along the outer rim of the rear chassis.

Reattach Back Glass
2 minAlign the back panel over the phone and press down firmly around the edges to seal the enclosure.
