Step-by-step
- 1
Remove SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge of the frame. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

Heat Rear Glass
2 minApply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun on low for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass back panel and pull up to create a tiny gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back and the frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick around all four perimeter edges of the phone to cut through the underlying tape.

Remove Rear Glass
1 minLift the rear glass off the phone chassis completely and place it face-down on a clean surface.

Unscrew Midframe Covers
3 minRemove the 14 Phillips #00 screws securing the upper wireless charging assembly and lower speaker module.

Remove Wireless Charging Coil
2 minPry up the top edge of the wireless charging pad using a spudger and lift it off the frame.

Remove Lower Speaker Assembly
2 minUse a spudger to pry the lower speaker enclosure up and away from the bottom daughterboard.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket to disconnect power.

Disconnect Sub-board Connectors
2 minUse a spudger to unclip the main interboard ribbon cable and both coaxial antenna cables from the lower board.

Remove Old Microphone Daughterboard
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the lower daughterboard and pry it up from the adhesive inside the frame.

Position Replacement Board
2 minSet the new microphone daughterboard into the frame cutout, aligning the USB port and microphone hole.

Reconnect Antenna and Flex Cables
2 minPress the main interboard ribbon connector and the two coaxial antenna cables firmly back onto the sub-board.

Reconnect Battery and Speaker
2 minSnap the battery connector onto the motherboard, then press the speaker enclosure down over the daughterboard.

Reinstall Screws and Charging Pad
4 minLay the wireless charging pad back in place and reinstall all 14 Phillips #00 screws to secure both modules.

Reattach Rear Glass
3 minApply new adhesive strips along the perimeter, press the rear panel onto the chassis, and heat briefly to seal.
