Step-by-step
- 1
Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

Heat the rear glass panel
2 minApply heat from a heat gun evenly around the perimeter of the back glass for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower section of the rear glass panel. Pull gently upward to create a small gap along the bottom edge.

Insert an opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam opened by the suction cup at the bottom edge of the device.

Slice perimeter adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the phone to cut through the adhesive. Reheat the glass if resistance increases.

Hinge the back cover open
2 minSlightly lift the rear panel from the right edge like a book cover. Do not pull it away completely yet, as a ribbon cable remains attached.

Disconnect the fingerprint sensor
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to gently pop the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable straight up off its motherboard connector.

Remove the rear panel
1 minLift the rear glass cover completely off the phone body and place it on a clean workspace.

Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the six screws securing the lower loudspeaker module to the frame.

Remove the old loudspeaker
2 minInsert a spudger underneath the notch on the speaker module and gently pry upward to free it from the chassis.

Position the replacement speaker
2 minPlace the new loudspeaker module into the lower frame recess and press down firmly until it sits flush.

Reinstall the assembly screws
3 minInsert and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws to secure the loudspeaker housing to the lower chassis.

Reconnect the fingerprint sensor flex
1 minAlign the fingerprint sensor press connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Apply new rear panel adhesive
3 minClean off old adhesive remnants with isopropyl alcohol, then apply new custom pre-cut adhesive strips along the phone frame.

Seal the rear glass panel
2 minAlign the back panel carefully over the phone body and press down firmly around all edges to seat the adhesive.
