- Pre-cut rear glass adhesive strip
- Isopropyl alcohol (99%)
Safety
- Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from cracked glass splinters.
- Do not heat the rear glass beyond 80°C (176°F) to avoid damaging internal components.
- Disconnect the battery flex cable before removing or installing internal parts to prevent short circuits.

Step-by-step
- 1
Power Off and Eject SIM Tray
1 minTurn off the phone completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge to remove the SIM and microSD card tray.

Heat the Rear Glass
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Apply Suction Cup
1 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass and pull upward firmly to create a small gap.

Slice the Rear Adhesive
4 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and carefully slide it around the perimeter to cut through the adhesive seal.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor
2 minSlightly lift the rear glass from the right side and use a spudger to detach the fingerprint reader connector from the motherboard.

Unscrew Top Midframe
2 minRemove the six Phillips #00 screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging coil assembly.

Remove Wireless Charging Shield
2 minGently pry up the wireless charging midframe with a spudger and lift it out of the phone body.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat edge of a spudger to disconnect the battery flex cable from the main board to cut power.

Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker
2 minRemove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the frame.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minPry up the loudspeaker module using a plastic tool and set it aside to reveal the bottom daughterboard.

Disconnect Daughterboard Flex Cables
2 minUse a spudger to pop off the main interconnect flex connector and headphone jack connector from the lower board.

Remove Damaged Microphone Board
2 minPry the bottom daughterboard containing the primary microphone up from the frame housing using a spudger.

Install Replacement Microphone Board
2 minPlace the new microphone daughterboard into the lower recess and press it gently into position.

Reconnect Lower Flex Cables
2 minAttach the main interconnect cable and headphone jack flex connectors back onto the replacement board.

Reconnect Battery Cable
1 minPress the battery flex connector firmly onto its socket on the motherboard.

Reinstall Loudspeaker Module
2 minSet the loudspeaker back into position and secure it with the five Phillips #00 screws.

Reattach Upper Wireless Charging Shield
2 minPosition the top midframe back over the motherboard and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws.

Connect Fingerprint Sensor and Seal Rear Glass
3 minPlug the fingerprint flex back in, apply fresh perimeter adhesive, and press the rear glass firmly onto the body.
