   Power Off and Eject SIM Tray

   Turn off your LG G7 ThinQ completely. Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole on the top edge to remove the SIM and microSD card tray.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer set to low heat on the edges of the back cover for 2-3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the glass rear panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass panel. Pull gently upward on the ring to create a small gap between the glass and the body frame.

   Slice Rear Glass Adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic prying pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive.

   Remove the Rear Glass Panel

   Lift the rear glass off the chassis once all adhesive is sliced. Set the glass panel aside in a safe, clean spot.

   Unscrew Upper Midframe Shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 14 screws holding the plastic upper midframe cover and wireless charging pad in place.

   Remove Wireless Charging Module

   Use a flat plastic spudger to gently pry up the edges of the wireless charging assembly. Peel it off the chassis and lift it away.

   Remove Bottom Speaker Module

   Pry up the bottom loudspeaker module from its clips using a spudger. Lift the speaker assembly out of the phone frame.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Locate the battery flex connector on the logic board. Use a plastic spudger to pop the connector straight up from its socket to prevent electrical shorts.

    Disconnect Display and Lower Flex Cables

    Unplug the main display press connector and the charging dock flex connector from the motherboard using the edge of a spudger.

    Disconnect Front and Rear Cameras

    Disconnect the camera press connectors from the top of the logic board. Carefully lift the front camera and rear dual-camera module out using tweezers.

    Disconnect Headphone Jack Flex

    Use tweezers or a spudger to disconnect the headphone jack flex connector located near the edge of the logic board.

    Pry Up the Logic Board

    Gently insert a spudger under the bottom edge of the motherboard. Carefully lever the logic board upward to unclip it from the housing frame.

    Remove the Motherboard

    Lift the logic board out of the phone frame, ensuring no dangling ribbon cables catch on the board edges.

    Install Replacement Logic Board

    Position the new motherboard into the frame top-first. Lower it flat and press down gently until it seats evenly into the phone body.

    Reconnect All Internal Flex Cables

    Reconnect the camera modules, headphone jack, display, and charging dock flex cables to the logic board before snapping the battery connector back in place.
