   Turn off the smartphone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting disassembly.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the top edge of the phone. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then slide it out.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the rear glass panel using a heat gun or hair dryer for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive sealing the rear cover.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass panel. Pull upward gently on the suction cup handle to create a slight gap along the edge.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the rear glass. Keep the pick flat to avoid pressing against internal components.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along all four sides of the rear glass panel to cut through the remaining adhesive. Reheat the glass if the pick encounters heavy resistance.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Carefully lift the rear glass cover off the frame once all adhesive is severed. Set the glass panel aside in a safe spot.

   Unscrew the bottom speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the lower loudspeaker module. Store the screws in a secure tray.

   Pry out the loudspeaker

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the edge of the loudspeaker module. Lift upward gently to unclip and remove the assembly from the lower housing.

    Disconnect the ribbon cables

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable and display flex cable from the lower sub-board. Pry straight up from the connectors to avoid damage.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine tweezers to gently pry up the black and white antenna coaxial cable connectors from the sub-board terminals. Lift near the connector heads rather than pulling on the wires.

    Remove the primary microphone board

    Insert a plastic prying tool beneath the edge of the lower daughterboard containing the primary microphone. Carefully pry the board up and remove it from the phone frame.

    Transfer the rubber microphone seal

    Use tweezers to peel the small rubber acoustic boot off the old microphone. Install this rubber seal onto the primary microphone of the replacement daughterboard.

    Position the new daughterboard

    Align the replacement microphone sub-board into the lower recess of the phone frame. Press down evenly until it seats flat into place.

    Reconnect flex and antenna cables

    Snap the main interconnect and display press connectors firmly onto the new board. Reattach the black and white antenna coaxial connectors onto their respective board terminals.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker module

    Position the loudspeaker assembly over the lower daughterboard. Insert and tighten the five Phillips #00 screws until secured.

    Apply rear cover adhesive

    Clean remaining glue from the chassis perimeter using isopropyl alcohol. Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the edges of the frame.

    Reattach the rear glass cover

    Align the rear glass panel perfectly over the chassis. Press firmly around all four edges for one minute to firmly bond the adhesive.
