Power off device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on screen. Ensure device is completely shut down before proceeding.

Eject SIM tray
1 minInsert SIM eject pin into small hole at top frame. Press firmly to pop out tray, then remove it.

Heat back glass edges
2 minApply a heat gun on low setting along rear glass perimeter for 2 minutes. This softens internal adhesive seal.

Attach suction cup
1 minPress suction cup firmly onto lower half of back glass panel. Pull upward gently to create small seam gap.

Insert opening pick
2 minSlide plastic pick into gap created between rear glass and metal frame. Keep pick shallow to avoid damaging flex cables.

Slice rear adhesive
3 minGlide plastic pick around all four edges of rear glass panel. Reapply heat if adhesive cools and becomes tough.

Lift off back glass
1 minCarefully lift back glass panel off device chassis. Set glass panel aside in clean workspace.

Unscrew upper shield
3 minUse Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove fourteen screws securing upper plastic midframe cover.

Remove upper midframe
2 minInsert flat edge of spudger beneath plastic upper midframe shield. Pry gently to lift and remove assembly.

Disconnect battery cable
1 minLocate battery press connector on upper right side of logic board. Pry connector straight up with plastic spudger.

Apply isopropyl alcohol
2 minApply 2-3 drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around outer edges of battery well. Allow 1 minute to weaken glue.

Pry out old battery
3 minInsert wide plastic card or spudger under left side of battery. Pry upwards gradually until adhesive releases.

Remove old battery
1 minLift battery out of frame recess carefully. Do not use metal tools or sharp force against battery casing.

Clean battery well
2 minWipe away residual adhesive strips inside phone frame using lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

Apply new battery adhesive
2 minPeel protective film from pre-cut battery adhesive strips. Lay strips flat into recessed battery tray.

Install replacement battery
2 minAlign new battery in frame compartment without pressing down fully yet. Ensure connector reaches socket comfortably.

Connect battery plug
1 minAlign battery flex cable plug over socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Reinstall upper midframe
2 minPlace plastic midframe shield back over top motherboard assembly. Press edges to snap tabs in place.

Secure midframe screws
3 minReinsert and tighten fourteen Phillips #00 screws securing plastic housing to frame.

Apply rear glass adhesive
2 minApply new perimeter adhesive tape around clean outer rim of phone frame.

Seal back glass
2 minAlign back glass carefully onto frame perimeter and press firmly around all edges to secure seal.
