   Power off device

   Press and hold the power button on the back of the phone, then tap Power Off on the screen.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the right edge, then pull the tray out.

   Heat rear glass panel

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to apply heat around the outer edges of the rear panel for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass panel, just above the bottom edge.

   Slice back cover adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick and slide it around all edges to slice through adhesive.

   Remove rear glass panel

   Carefully lift the rear glass panel off the phone frame and place it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew top midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove eleven 3.5 mm screws securing the top midframe and NFC antenna assembly.

   Pry off upper midframe

   Insert a flat spudger under the top midframe edge and gently lift to unclip and remove the assembly.

   Unscrew lower speaker assembly

   Remove the three Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker module at the bottom of the device.

    Remove loudspeaker module

    Insert a spudger under the bottom speaker assembly and pry upward to remove it from the lower frame.

    Disconnect battery cable

    Use the flat edge of a spudger to gently pop the battery flex connector straight up off the motherboard.

    Disconnect charging port connector

    Pry the charging port ribbon cable connector straight up off its socket on the motherboard using a spudger.

    Remove charging port retaining screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the USB-C charging port assembly to the frame.

    Pry up damaged charging port

    Insert a spudger beneath the charging port board assembly and carefully pry it up from the adhesive backing.

    Position new charging port board

    Align the replacement charging port assembly with the lower frame recess and press down firmly to set it in place.

    Secure charging port screw

    Reinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to hold the new charging port assembly flush against the frame.

    Attach charging port connector

    Align the charging port flex connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect battery cable

    Press the battery press-fit connector back onto its corresponding motherboard terminal.

    Reinstall loudspeaker module

    Set the loudspeaker module back into the bottom housing and press gently until it clips in.

    Secure loudspeaker screws

    Fasten the three Phillips #00 screws on the bottom loudspeaker module.

    Reinstall top midframe assembly

    Align the upper midframe cover over the motherboard and press down around the edges to snap it in.

    Fasten midframe screws

    Thread and tighten the eleven Phillips #00 screws back into the upper midframe assembly.

    Apply rear glass adhesive

    Clean remaining old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol, then apply new pre-cut adhesive tape around the phone frame perimeter.

    Reattach rear glass cover

    Align the rear glass cover over the phone and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive.

    Reinsert SIM tray

    Push the SIM and microSD card tray back into its slot on the right side of the device until flush.
