   Remove the back cover

   Insert a plastic opening tool into the notch at the bottom left edge of the phone. Pry upward to unclip and remove the rear cover.

   Remove the battery

   Lift the battery out of its recess using the notch located at the bottom edge of the battery compartment.

   Eject the SIM and microSD cards

   Press the microSD card inward until it clicks, then slide both the SIM and microSD cards out of their respective slots.

   Unscrew the rear midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws securing the plastic midframe to the internal frame.

   Pry off the midframe

   Insert a plastic opening tool between the outer bezel and the midframe. Work around the perimeter to release the plastic clips.

   Disconnect the front-facing camera

   Use the flat end of a spudger to gently pop the front-facing camera press-fit connector off the motherboard.

   Gently lift the front-facing camera out of its housing using a pair of tweezers.

   Pry the display ribbon cable connector straight up from the motherboard using a spudger.

   Carefully pry up the bottom edge of the motherboard with a spudger and lift it free from the phone chassis.

    Disconnect the rear camera

    Pry up the rear camera ribbon connector from the removed motherboard to separate the camera module.

    Remove the earpiece speaker

    Insert tweezers under the top edge of the earpiece speaker assembly and pry it gently out of the frame.

    Remove the headphone jack

    Use a spudger to pry the headphone jack module straight up out of its recessed slot at the top edge.

    Remove the vibration motor

    Carefully pry the coin-style vibration motor out of its recess using fine tweezers.

    Prepare the new screen assembly

    Peel off all protective plastic films and adhesive covers from the replacement display frame.

    Install the vibration motor

    Place the vibration motor into the corresponding slot on the new display assembly and press firmly to set the adhesive.

    Install the headphone jack

    Insert the headphone jack module into its slot on the new frame until it sits flush.

    Align the earpiece speaker and press it gently into the top recess of the new display assembly.
