   Power Off the LG G3

   Press and hold the power button on the back of the device until the power menu appears. Tap 'Power off' and wait for the screen to go completely dark.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Insert your plastic prying tool or thumbnail into the notch at the bottom left corner of the back cover. Gently pry the cover up and detach it from the phone body.

   Remove the Battery

   Use your finger or a plastic opening tool to lift the battery out from the recess at the bottom. Set the battery aside safely.

   Remove SIM and MicroSD Cards

   Slide the SIM card and MicroSD card out of their respective slots above the battery compartment. Store them in a secure location.

   Unscrew the Rear Midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 12 screws securing the upper and lower midframe sections. Place the screws in a tray to keep track of them.

   Detach the Upper Midframe

   Insert a spudger into the notch under the top midframe piece near the rear camera. Carefully lever the housing up to release the plastic clips and remove it.

   Detach the Lower Speaker Frame

   Pry up the lower speaker housing using your plastic spudger. Lift the module away from the body once all clips unlatch.

   Disconnect the Rear Button Flex Connector

   Locate the press-fit connector for the rear power and volume key flex cable on the motherboard. Pry the connector straight up using a flat-end spudger.

   Pry Up the Rear Button Assembly

   Insert fine tweezers under the edges of the power/volume button flex module beneath the camera lens area. Carefully lift the assembly off its adhesive backing.

    Remove the Broken Power Button Cable

    Gently pull the power button flex cable away from the chassis. Clean off any old adhesive residue from the mounting recess using a spudger.

    Position the Replacement Button Assembly

    Peel the protective backing from the adhesive on the new power button flex assembly. Align the button pads precisely with the mounting guide posts.

    Attach the New Flex Cable Connector

    Press the rear button module firmly into place so the adhesive grips the frame. Press the cable connector directly down onto the motherboard mating socket until it clicks.

    Reattach the Upper Midframe

    Position the top midframe housing over the motherboard and camera area. Press down around the edges until the plastic tabs snap securely into place.

    Reattach the Lower Speaker Frame

    Align the bottom speaker frame over the lower section of the phone body. Press down firmly to snap the retention clips back in.

    Secure the Midframe Screws

    Reinstall the 12 Phillips #00 screws across the upper and lower midframe sections. Tighten them snug without overtightening.

    Reinsert SIM and MicroSD Cards

    Slide your SIM card and MicroSD card back into their designated slots above the battery housing.

    Reinstall the Battery

    Align the gold contacts of the battery with the pins in the phone's battery cavity. Press the battery down firmly into place.

    Snap On the Back Cover

    Place the rear cover over the back of the device. Press around all edges until every clip snaps shut flush with the frame.
