   Power off the LG G2

   Press and hold the power button on the back of the device until the menu appears. Tap Power Off and wait for the screen to go completely dark.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole on the SIM card tray slot. Push firmly inward to eject the tray and remove it from the phone.

   Insert plastic opening tool

   Insert the edge of a plastic opening tool into the thin seam between the rear cover and the front bezel near the SIM card slot.

   Unclip the rear cover

   Slide the plastic opening tool around the entire perimeter of the phone to release the internal plastic retaining clips.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover straight off the chassis once all clips have been disengaged.

   Unscrew the lower loudspeaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the phone frame.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard shield

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the upper midframe shield covering the motherboard and camera.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard using the flat end of a plastic spudger.

   Pry up the loudspeaker module

   Insert the edge of a spudger under the lower speaker housing assembly and gently lever it up from the phone frame.

    Remove the faulty speaker

    Lift the loudspeaker assembly out of the bottom section of the phone chassis and set it aside.

    Clean the motherboard contact pads

    Lightly moisten a cotton swab with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol and clean the gold speaker contact pads on the motherboard.

    Position the new loudspeaker

    Set the replacement loudspeaker module into the bottom frame cavity, aligning it with the plastic housing pins.

    Press speaker module into place

    Apply light downward pressure across the top of the speaker module until it sits flat inside the lower frame.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the press connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it snaps into place.

    Fasten all midframe screws

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws securing both the upper motherboard cover and the lower loudspeaker housing.

    Snap on the rear cover

    Align the back cover with the device frame and press firmly around all edges until every clip clicks shut.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Insert the SIM card back into the SIM tray and push the tray fully into its slot until flush with the frame.

    Test the loudspeaker

    Power on the phone and play an audio track or ringtone to ensure the new speaker operates clearly.
