   Turn off phone

   Press and hold the power button on the rear panel, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left side of the frame. Push firmly until the SIM tray pops out, then remove it.

   Pry off back cover

   Insert a plastic prying pick into the seam between the rear cover and the display frame. Pry along the entire perimeter to pop the plastic clips and remove the cover.

   Unscrew top housing shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the upper plastic motherboard shield in place.

   Remove top housing shield

   Gently pry up the edge of the upper housing cover using a spudger and remove it from the phone.

   Unscrew bottom speaker housing

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom speaker and loudspeaker enclosure.

   Remove bottom speaker assembly

   Pry beneath the plastic speaker module with a plastic tool and lift it out of the chassis.

   Disconnect battery cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up off the motherboard.

   Disconnect motherboard flex cables

   Disconnect the display, digitizer, front camera, and rear camera flex connectors from the motherboard using a spudger.

    Remove motherboard

    Lift the motherboard gently from its top edge and remove it from the chassis, taking care not to snag any flex cables.

    Pry out battery

    Insert a flat plastic opening tool beneath the battery edges and lever it up carefully to break the factory adhesive underneath.

    Heat glass edges

    Apply heat around the front screen edges using a heat gun on low for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

    Separate display from frame

    Attach a suction cup to the screen and pull upward while inserting a plastic opening pick beneath the glass. Slice through the softened adhesive along all sides.

    Clean frame residue

    Scrape off residual adhesive and glass fragments from the inner bezel frame using tweezers and isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply replacement adhesive

    Lay double-sided screen adhesive strips precisely along the inner edges of the clean metal frame.

    Thread and seat new display

    Thread the display and digitizer flex cables through the openings in the frame, then press the new screen firmly onto the adhesive.

    Reinstall battery and motherboard

    Place the battery back in its recess, position the motherboard into the frame, and reattach all flex cable connectors.

    Reattach covers and back panel

    Reinstall the top motherboard shield and bottom speaker assembly with their Phillips screws, then snap the back cover onto the frame and reinsert the SIM tray.
