- 7
Remove Main Logic Board
3 minUnscrew the remaining retaining screws and gently lift the logic board out of the phone chassis.
- 8
Apply Kapton Shielding Tape
3 minCover surrounding surface-mount components with heat-resistant Kapton tape to prevent accidental desoldering.
- 9
Apply Flux to Titan Chip
2 minApply a small amount of liquid no-clean flux around the perimeter of the Titan security chip.
- 10
Desolder the Titan Chip
4 minHeat the Titan chip evenly with a hot air station set to 350°C until the underlying solder balls reflow.

Solder Replacement Titan Chip
4 minApply hot air vertically over the chip until it drops into place and self-aligns on the molten solder pads.
- 16
Reinstall Main Logic Board
3 minPlace the logic board back into the device chassis and secure it with its original mounting screws.
- 17
Reconnect Internal Cable Connectors
4 minReattach all ribbon flex cables, finishing with the battery press connectors to restore power lines.
