   Power down the device

   Turn off your Google Pixel 9 completely before beginning any disassembly.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the lower frame and push gently to eject the tray.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply heat around the perimeter of the rear glass for two minutes using a heat gun on low power.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the rear panel and pull upward to create a small gap.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created between the rear glass and the body frame.

   Slice lower adhesive

   Gently glide the pick along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the adhesive strip.

   Slice side adhesives

   Guide the pick up both the left and right edges, taking care not to insert it more than 3 millimeters deep.

   Pry open rear cover

   Lift the rear glass slowly like a book cover, pivoting from the left side.

   Disconnect rear sensor flex

   Use a spudger to pop the rear glass sensor flex cable straight up off its motherboard socket.

    Remove midframe shield screws

    Unbolt the Torx screws securing the metal midframe plate using a precision screwdriver.

    Lift metal midframe plate

    Grasp the metal shield plate with tweezers and lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect battery cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up off the main logic board using a plastic spudger.

    Remove speaker assembly screws

    Unscrew the retaining screws securing the lower speaker assembly over the USB-C board.

    Pry out speaker assembly

    Insert a spudger under the speaker housing and gently lift it out of the bottom cavity.

    Disconnect USB flex cable

    Unclip the daughterboard interconnect flex cable connected to the upper edge of the USB-C board.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Use tweezers to carefully unsnap the two coaxial antenna cables from the daughterboard terminals.

    Remove daughterboard screws

    Unscrew the remaining fasteners holding the USB-C daughterboard to the lower aluminum frame.

    Remove damaged daughterboard

    Pry up the old USB-C charging board using a spudger and lift it out of the frame.

    Install new daughterboard

    Position the new USB-C charging board into the chassis slot, aligning the port with the frame opening.

    Fasten daughterboard screws

    Drive the screws into the daughterboard to secure the new assembly to the phone frame.

    Reconnect antenna cables

    Press the antenna coaxial cables onto their matching snaps on the new daughterboard until they click.

    Reconnect USB flex cable

    Align and press down the main ribbon cable socket onto the top of the new charging board.

    Reinstall bottom speaker module

    Set the speaker module back into place over the charging board and secure its screws.

    Reconnect battery cable

    Press the battery connector down onto its socket on the motherboard to restore connection.

    Reinstall metal midframe

    Align the metal shield plate over the logic board and tighten its securing screws.

    Apply fresh adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive off the frame with isopropyl alcohol, then lay down pre-cut adhesive strips.

    Reconnect rear glass flex

    Attach the sensor flex cable on the rear glass back to its motherboard connector.

    Reseal rear cover

    Align the rear glass with the frame and press firmly around all perimeter edges to seal the adhesive.
