   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then tap 'Power off' on the screen.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole near the bottom frame and press firmly to pop out the tray.

   Heat the back glass perimeter

   Apply heat to the edges of the back glass using a heat gun on low power for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the back glass and pull upward gently to create a gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back panel and the frame.

   Carefully slide the opening pick around all four edges of the rear cover to cut through the water-resistance tape.

   Gently swing the back cover open to the left side like a book cover, taking care not to pull internal cables.

   Unscrew the main cable bracket
