   Power off the Pixel 9 Pro

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then tap Power Off. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the back glass

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass. Pull up on the handle to create a tiny gap along the seam.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back glass and the chassis.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick around all four edges of the phone to cut through the adhesive seal. Keep the pick shallow to avoid internal flex cables.

   Hinge open the back glass

   Gently swing open the back panel from the left edge like a book cover. Do not pull it away completely yet.

   Unscrew the cable bracket

   Use a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal bracket over the back panel connector.

   Disconnect the back glass flex cable

   Use the flat edge of a plastic spudger to pry the back panel cable straight up from its socket.

   Lift the back glass panel entirely off the frame and place it safely off to the side.

    Unscrew the midframe shield

    Remove the T3 Torx screws holding the wireless charging coil and graphite heat shield to the frame.

    Carefully peel up and lift the graphite shield and wireless charging assembly out of the phone body.

    Pry the battery flex connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger to disconnect power.

    Apply a few drops of high-grade isopropyl alcohol around the top and bottom margins of the battery tray to soften the adhesive.

    Unstick the adhesive pull-tabs

    Use tweezers to peel back the plastic pull-tabs resting along the edge of the battery.

    Pull the stretch-release adhesive strips

    Slowly pull the adhesive strips outward at a low angle until they release completely from under the battery.

    Pry the battery free

    Insert a flat plastic pry tool under the battery edge and gently lever it up if any adhesive remains.

    Remove the depleted battery

    Lift the battery out of the frame and dispose of it properly at a battery recycling center.

    Lower the replacement battery into the housing and press firmly across its surface to secure it to the adhesive.
