   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole next to the SIM tray on the bottom edge. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the display perimeter

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer along all four edges of the front glass for 2-3 minutes. Keep the heat source moving to soften the perimeter screen adhesive without scorching the OLED panel.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the front screen near the bottom bezel. Press down firmly to create a secure seal.

   Lift the bottom screen edge

   Pull upward on the suction cup with firm, steady pressure to create a subtle gap between the glass screen and the frame. Do not force the panel open abruptly.

   Insert plastic opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic prying pick into the gap created by the suction cup along the bottom edge. Insert it no deeper than 3mm to avoid damaging underlying components.

   Slice bottom edge adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick back and forth along the bottom edge of the display to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Slice left side adhesive

   Reheat the left edge if necessary, then slide the opening pick around the bottom left corner and up toward the top of the phone.

   Move the pick carefully along the top edge of the display, slicing the adhesive while staying shallow near the speaker mesh.

    Slide the pick down the right edge of the screen to cut the remaining adhesive seal along the right frame border.

    Open screen like a book

    Gently swing the right side of the display up toward the left, pivoting on the left edge. Rest the screen flat alongside the phone frame without straining the flex cable.

    Remove bracket screw

    Use a precision screwdriver to remove the single screw holding the metal connector shield bracket in place. Set the screw in a safe spot.

    Remove display cable shield

    Grasp the metal cable bracket with tweezers and lift it off the motherboard connector. Store the bracket safely for reassembly.

    Disconnect display flex cable

    Insert the flat edge of a plastic spudger under the display flex cable press connector and gently pop it straight off the motherboard socket.
