   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom frame of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear glass

   Use a heat gun or iOpener on the back cover for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive. Maintain a safe distance to avoid scorching the glass.

   Attach a suction handle

   Place a suction handle on the lower half of the rear glass near the charging port. Press down firmly to secure a tight vacuum seal.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction handle to create a tiny gap between the back glass and frame. Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the seam.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive seal. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Lift the rear glass panel

   Gently lift the right edge of the rear glass like a book cover. Do not pull it away completely yet, as a sensor flex cable is still connected.

   Disconnect the back panel flex

   Use a spudger to pop the back cover sensor flex cable directly off its socket on the motherboard. Set the rear glass aside.

   Remove the midframe screws

   Unscrew the Torx T3 screws holding the upper aluminum shield and midframe assembly in place. Organize the screws by location for accurate reassembly.

   Remove the wireless charging coil assembly

   Lift the wireless charging coil and midframe cover away from the main chassis using plastic tweezers. Take care not to tear the delicate graphite cooling film.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Locate the battery flex connector on the motherboard and disconnect it with a spudger. This cuts power to the device to prevent short circuits.

    Unscrew the speaker enclosure

    Remove the old charging port daughterboard

    Pry up the faulty charging port assembly with a plastic spudger and lift it clear of the chassis socket.

    Clean the housing recess

    Dampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe away old adhesive or debris around the USB-C cutout.

    Install the new charging port daughterboard

    Position the new USB-C assembly into the lower recess, aligning the port with the frame cutout cleanly.

    Secure the daughterboard screws

    Reinstall and tighten the retaining screws to firmly lock the charging port daughterboard into the frame.

    Reconnect the antenna and interconnect cables

    Snap the coaxial antenna connectors and the main interconnect ribbon back onto their sockets on the daughterboard.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker module

    Press the loudspeaker back into the bottom housing and secure it with its original screws.

    Align the battery flex connector over its terminal and press down until it clicks securely into place.

    Reattach the wireless charging midframe

    Clean remaining adhesive off the frame, then lay down a fresh pre-cut adhesive strip along the outer border.

    Reconnect and seal the rear glass

    Plug the rear glass flex cable back into the board, align the glass with the frame, and press firmly along the edges to seal.

    Reinsert the SIM tray
