   Power down the device

   Press and hold the power button and volume up key simultaneously, then tap Power Off on the screen.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover for two minutes using a heat gun set on low speed.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and press firmly to seal.

   Insert opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup handle to create a tiny gap, then slide a plastic opening pick beneath the glass.

   Slice side adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom and side edges to sever the perimeter adhesive strip.

   Slice top adhesive

   Guide the pick around the top corners carefully, keeping depth under 3 mm to avoid camera ribbons.

   Lift off rear panel

   Swing the back glass panel open from the right side and set it aside safely.

   Remove midframe screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper graphite midframe shield.

   Detach midframe shield

   Gently lift the upper midframe shield off the motherboard using tweezers and set it aside.

    Disconnect battery flex cable

    Pry the battery press connector directly upward from its socket using the flat end of a spudger.

    Unscrew lower speaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips screws holding the lower speaker housing to the chassis.

    Lift the speaker housing out of the bottom frame using a plastic prying tool.

    Unpeel adhesive pull tabs

    Locate the exposed adhesive pull tabs at the base of the battery and peel back the black tips.

    Pull battery adhesive strips

    Slowly pull each stretch-release tab flat and parallel to the chassis until the strip completely releases.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    If a tab snaps, apply 3-4 drops of high-purity isopropyl alcohol along the battery edge and wait 2 minutes.

    Pry out the battery

    Insert a plastic spudger or card under the battery edge to lever it out of the frame.

    Clean the battery cavity

    Wipe away any remaining glue residue from the inner chassis with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth.

    Attach new adhesive strips

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips to the back of your replacement battery, removing the protective liner.

    Position new battery

    Align the replacement battery in the chassis cavity and press down firmly to secure the adhesive.

    Reconnect battery cable

    Align the battery flex connector over its motherboard socket and press straight down until it clicks.

    Reinstall lower speaker assembly

    Seat the speaker module back into the bottom frame and re-tighten its retaining screws.

    Reinstall midframe shield

    Position the upper midframe shield plate over the motherboard and install all Phillips screws securely.

    Apply new rear adhesive

    Lay fresh perimeter adhesive tape along the chassis frame edges and peel off the top film layer.

    Seal the rear panel

    Align the rear glass panel over the body and apply firm, even pressure along all sides to seal.
