   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then tap 'Power off' on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the lower rear glass

   Apply a heat gun set to low heat around the perimeter of the outer rear glass for two minutes. This softens the factory water-resistant adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass. Pull upward gently to create a slight gap between the glass and the aluminum frame.

   Slice the rear glass adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive perimeter.

   Lift away the rear glass panel

   Carefully lift the rear glass off the frame. Set it aside in a clean, dust-free area.

   Remove the midframe bracket screws

   Use a precision screwdriver to remove the T3 Torx screws securing the upper motherboard shield. Store the screws in a labeled organizer tray.

   Detach the motherboard cover plate

   Use tweezers to lift the metal shield plate off the motherboard. Place it safely alongside its screws.

   Disconnect the primary battery cable

   Insert the flat end of a plastic spudger under the battery connector press fit. Pry straight up to disconnect power from the board.

    Unscrew the two T3 Torx screws anchoring the USB-C port hardware bracket to the frame.

    Pry the charging port board from the housing

    Insert a flat tool under the USB-C port daughterboard and gently lever it up from the light adhesive holding it down.

    Clean residual adhesive from the chassis frame

    Apply a small drop of 99% isopropyl alcohol to a lint-free wipe and clean off any leftover adhesive residue in the port well.

    Insert the new charging port board into position

    Align the replacement USB-C port assembly into the bottom chassis recess and press down lightly.

    Fasten the charging port board screws

    Reinstall the two T3 Torx retaining screws to lock the USB-C port assembly firmly in place.

    Connect the charging port flex cable

    Align the ribbon connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it snaps into place.

    Peel and align a custom pre-cut adhesive gasket onto the outer perimeter of the phone chassis.

    Align the rear glass cover carefully over the body and press down around the edges for 30 seconds to set the seal.
