   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply heat along the outer perimeter of the back glass cover for two minutes using a heat gun on low power. Soften the factory adhesive without overheating the device.

   Attach suction handle

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel glass. Pull upward firmly to create a tiny gap between the glass and the aluminum frame.

   Slice rear cover adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Gently lift the back glass panel off the body. Set it aside in a safe, dust-free place.

   Unscrew the wireless charging coil

   Use a precision Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the retaining screws securing the wireless charging assembly and protective midframe plate.

   Detach the midframe plate and coil

   Use tweezers to peel back graphite heat tape, then lift the midframe plate and attached charging coil off the main housing.

   Disconnect the main battery cable

   Locate the primary battery press connector on the motherboard. Pry the flex connector straight up from its socket with a plastic spudger to cut power.

   Disconnect the secondary battery cable

   Locate the secondary battery flex connector on the lower circuit board. Pry it straight up from the board using a spudger.

    Apply adhesive solvent

    Dispense a few drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol around the outer edges of both internal battery compartments to loosen the underlying adhesive.

    Unclip main battery pull tab

    Locate the exposed adhesive pull tab along the edge of the primary battery. Use precision tweezers to free the tab end from the frame notch.

    Extract the primary battery

    Pull the adhesive tab slowly at a low angle until the tape releases. Slide a plastic card under the primary battery to lift it out.

    Unclip secondary battery pull tab

    Locate the adhesive pull tab on the smaller secondary battery assembly. Carefully unhook the tab edge using tweezers.

    Extract the secondary battery

    Pull the secondary adhesive strip smoothly out from beneath the cell. Lift the secondary battery out of the lower chassis bay.

    Clean residual adhesive

    Wipe down both battery compartments using a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol until all old adhesive tape is removed.

    Install replacement batteries

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips to the new batteries, press them firmly into their respective housing wells, and reconnect the press flex cables.
