Power off device
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then select Power Off on the screen.

Remove SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or thin paperclip into the hole beside the SIM tray on the bottom edge to eject it.

Heat rear panel
3 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction handle
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull gently upward to create a small gap.

Slice rear panel adhesive
5 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slowly slide it along all four edges to cut through the glue.

Lift off rear panel
2 minCarefully lift the rear plastic panel off the frame and set it aside.

Unscrew midframe shield
4 minUse a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic midframe shield and wireless charging assembly.

Remove midframe shield
2 minPry up the midframe assembly with a spudger and lift it off the device.

Disconnect battery cable

3 minRemove the T3 Torx screws holding down the speaker enclosure over the daughterboard.

2 minGently pry up the speaker housing from the bottom edge and remove it.

Disconnect daughterboard flex cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the lower sub-board.

Disconnect antenna cables
2 minUse fine tweezers to carefully unsnap the two coaxial antenna cables from the sub-board.

Pry up damaged microphone board
3 minInsert the flat end of a spudger beneath the daughterboard and lift it free from the phone chassis.

Position new microphone daughterboard
2 minSet the replacement sub-board into the bottom cavity of the phone, ensuring alignment with the frame ports.

Reconnect antenna and flex cables
3 minSnap the coaxial cables onto their headers with tweezers, then press the main interconnect flex connector into place.

Reinstall loudspeaker and midframe
5 minReposition the loudspeaker and midframe cover, then drive in all T3 Torx screws securely.

Reconnect battery and reseal panel
4 minPlug the battery connector back in, apply fresh back cover adhesive, and press the rear panel down firmly.
