Step-by-step

Power off and eject SIM tray
2 minTurn off your Pixel 8 completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the side to remove the SIM card tray.

Heat the front display assembly
3 minApply a heat gun set to low temperature along the perimeter of the screen for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

Slice perimeter display adhesive

3 minPry up the rear camera flex connectors and bottom USB-C interconnect cable from the main logic board.

Unscrew logic board retaining screws
3 minRemove the remaining T3 screws fastening the motherboard to the aluminum housing.

Lift main logic board from chassis
2 minGently tilt the logic board up from the top edge and remove it from the phone chassis.
