   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power button along with Volume Up, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the display perimeter

   Apply heat to the front edges of the phone using a heat gun or hair dryer for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the strong adhesive securing the screen to the frame.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the front screen near the USB-C port. Pull gently upward to create a small gap between the glass and the bezel.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic prying tool or opening pick into the gap created beneath the screen glass. Take care not to insert the pick deeper than 3 mm to avoid display damage.

   Slice the screen adhesive

   Slowly slide the plastic opening pick around all four edges of the display to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Reapply heat if you feel strong resistance.

   Pivot the display open

   Gently lift the left edge of the display and pivot it open like a book to the right. Do not attempt to detach the screen entirely yet as the display ribbon cable is still attached.

   Unbolt the display cable bracket

   Use a precision Torx T4 screwdriver to remove the small screw securing the metal display cable shield. Set the screw and metal shield aside.

   Disconnect the display cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the display cable connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard. Carefully lift the display assembly away from the phone body.

   Remove the midframe screws

   Unscrew all Torx screws holding the black midframe cover and graphite heat sheet to the phone enclosure. Group screws carefully so they return to their original locations.

    Detach the midframe cover

    Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the midframe panel and pop it free from the internal frame. Lift out the midframe shield and set it aside.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Locate the battery flex cable connector near the side of the battery. Use a plastic spudger to gently pop the press connector off the motherboard.

    Soften the battery adhesive

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the edges beneath the battery. Allow 2 to 3 minutes for the liquid to dissolve the factory adhesive.

    Pull the adhesive release tabs

    Locate the clear plastic adhesive tabs at the edge of the battery. Grasp a tab firmly with tweezers and slowly pull it flat out from under the battery.

    Pry out the old battery

    Insert a wide plastic prying tool underneath the battery from the side opposite the motherboard. Work slowly to lift the battery out of the frame without bending or puncturing it.

    Clean the battery well

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the battery well using a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the recessed area is dry and clean.

    Install new adhesive strips

    Apply new double-sided battery adhesive strips directly to the back of the replacement battery. Peel off the protective backing film.

    Seat the replacement battery

    Lower the new battery into the housing, aligning the flex cable with its socket before pressing down. Firmly press the battery body into place to adhere it.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the press connector of the battery cable with its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.
