Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then select Power Off on the screen.

Heat Bottom Edge
2 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the bottom edge of the back glass for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back panel and pull upward to create a thin gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide an opening pick into the gap between the rear glass and the aluminum frame at the bottom edge.

Slice Left Edge Adhesive
3 minApply heat to the left edge, then slide the opening pick up the left side to separate the perimeter adhesive.

Slice Top Edge Adhesive
3 minWarm the top edge with your heat source and carefully cut through the adhesive seam with the pick.

Slice Right Edge Adhesive
3 minHeat the right edge and guide the pick down the side to release the final adhesive section.

Pry Glass Open
2 minGently swing the back glass open toward the right side like a book cover.

Unclip Wireless Charging Cable
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pry up and disconnect the wireless charging coil press connector from the board.

Remove Rear Glass
1 minLift the old back glass completely away from the phone body and place it on your work surface.

Clean Frame Adhesive
5 minScrape away remaining adhesive residue from the frame edges using isopropyl alcohol and a plastic spudger.

Apply Replacement Adhesive
3 minPeel the protective backing from the custom adhesive strip and carefully press it around the frame perimeter.

Connect Coil Cable
2 minAlign the wireless charging coil connector with its socket on the board and press down gently until it clicks.

Install New Back Glass
3 minAlign the new back glass with the outer frame and press firmly along all edges to set the adhesive seal.
