   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power and volume up buttons simultaneously until the power menu appears. Tap Power off and wait for the screen to go completely dark.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom-left edge of the phone frame. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

   Heat the screen edges

   Apply heat to the perimeter of the display using a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat for two minutes. This softens the adhesive sealing the screen to the frame.

   Attach a suction cup to the screen

   Place a suction cup on the lower section of the glass screen, just above the USB-C port. Pull up gently on the handle to create a tiny gap between the glass and the body.

   Insert an opening pick under the glass

   Insert the tip of a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert the pick further than 3 millimeters to avoid damaging the OLED panel.

   Slice the perimeter screen adhesive

   Slide the pick slowly around all four sides of the phone to cut through the screen adhesive. Reapply heat if the adhesive hardens and offers resistance.

   Fold open the display panel

   Carefully lift the left edge of the display and swing it open like a book toward the right. Support the display panel so it does not pull on the flex cable.

   Unscrew the display cable bracket

   Use a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the single screw holding the metal display bracket. Lift the bracket off with tweezers and set it aside.

   Disconnect the display cable

   Pry the display cable connector straight up from its motherboard socket using the flat tip of a spudger. Remove the screen assembly completely from the workspace.

    Unscrew the midframe shield plate

    Remove the T3 Torx screws securing the internal midframe plate to the phone chassis. Keep track of each screw position for reassembly.

    Remove the midframe plate

    Gently lift the midframe shield plate off the internal chassis using a pair of tweezers. Set the plate aside on your workspace mat.

    Unscrew the power button bracket

    Locate the power button housing on the upper right side frame. Remove the single T3 Torx screw holding the metal power button bracket in place.

    Remove the button retaining bracket

    Use fine tweezers to lift the metal bracket off the power button assembly and set it aside.

    Pry up the old power button flex cable

    Use the pointed end of a spudger to carefully peel the power button flex cable and switch off the inner frame wall. Lift the old flex cable out of the phone.

    Clean the button housing recess

    Dip a lint-free wipe in 99% isopropyl alcohol and wipe away any remaining adhesive or dust inside the button frame cavity. Allow the area to dry.

    Install the new power button flex cable

    Position the replacement power button flex cable into the frame cutout, aligning it with the small plastic positioning pins. Press the adhesive backing firmly onto the frame.

    Secure the button bracket

    Place the metal retaining bracket over the new power button switch. Tighten the single T3 Torx screw until snugly secured.

    Reinstall the midframe plate

    Lower the midframe shield plate back into the frame housing. Replace and tighten all T3 Torx screws to secure it.

    Reconnect and reseal the display

    Plug the display cable back into its socket, secure its bracket with the T3 screw, apply new pre-cut adhesive around the frame edge, and press the display firmly shut.
