   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole beside the tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

   Heat the front glass edges

   Use a heat gun on low power to warm the display perimeter for roughly two minutes. This softens the strong adhesive securing the screen to the chassis.

   Attach a suction cup to the screen

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the front display glass. Pull up gently to create a small gap between the glass screen and the frame.

   Slice through screen adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic pick into the gap created at the bottom edge. Gently slide the pick along the perimeter to slice through the adhesive layer.

   Swing open the screen assembly

   Carefully lift the left edge of the display screen and fold it open like a book cover. Do not pull the display off completely, as flex cables are still connected.

   Unscrew the screen cable bracket

   Use a precision screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal screen connector shield. Set the shield aside with tweezers.

   Disconnect the screen flex cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to gently pop the screen flex cable connector off the logic board. Lift away the display assembly.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Locate the battery flex connector near the middle frame. Pry up the battery connector straight up off the logic board to power down the components safely.

   Remove the midframe screws

   Remove all perimeter Torx screws securing the midframe metal plate and graphite heat sheet. Store these screws in a organized tray.

    Lift off the midframe shield

    Gently lift the internal midframe shield away from the phone housing. Be careful not to tear the attached heat-dissipation foil.

    Disconnect the rear camera cables

    Use a plastic spudger to detach the flex cable connectors for both the main and ultrawide rear cameras. Carefully unseat and remove the camera module.

    Disconnect the front camera cable

    Pry up the front-facing camera's flex cable connector from the top portion of the logic board. Remove the camera module.

    Unplug lower board interconnect cables

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables and the USB-C charging port ribbon cable from the bottom section of the motherboard.

    Remove logic board mounting screws

    Unscrew the remaining retaining screws holding the motherboard onto the aluminum chassis. Note screw positions for reassembly.

    Lift out the logic board

    Insert a spudger under the top corner of the logic board and gently pry upward. Carefully lift the board clear from the phone body.

    Install the replacement logic board

    Align the new logic board over the frame locator pegs and lower it gently into position. Secure it using the original mounting screws.
