   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then tap Power Off on the screen.

   Heat the lower edge

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat to the bottom edge of the screen for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the display glass and pull up firmly to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Carefully insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the bottom edge of the screen.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the screen adhesive.

   Heat the side edges

   Apply heat along the left and right edges of the phone frame for two minutes to loosen the side adhesive.

   Slice the left adhesive

   Guide an opening pick up the left edge of the phone, inserting it no deeper than three millimeters.

   Slice the right adhesive

   Slide the opening pick up the right edge to release the perimeter adhesive on that side.

   Slice the top adhesive

   Gently slide the pick across the top edge near the speaker grill to fully free the display assembly.

    Open the display like a book

    Carefully swing the display open from left to right to prevent straining the screen flex cable.

    Unscrew the cable bracket

    Use a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the display cable metal bracket.

    Remove the cable bracket

    Use precision tweezers to lift the metal shield out of the phone chassis.

    Disconnect the screen cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the screen ribbon cable connector straight up from its socket.

    Remove the old screen

    Lift the old screen assembly completely off the phone frame and place it aside.

    Clean the frame adhesive

    Scrape away remaining adhesive residue along the perimeter of the aluminum frame using a plastic tool.

    Wipe frame with alcohol

    Apply isopropyl alcohol to a microfiber cloth and wipe the outer rim clean of oil and dust.

    Apply new display adhesive

    Peel the backing off the custom display adhesive strip and align it carefully onto the metal frame.

    Remove adhesive top liner

    Pull off the protective top film from the newly installed adhesive strips on the frame.

    Connect the new screen cable

    Align the new screen ribbon connector over the socket and press down firmly until it clicks.

    Reinstall the cable bracket

    Position the metal bracket back over the display connector using tweezers.

    Secure the bracket screws

    Drive the two T3 Torx screws back into place to clamp the display cable down.

    Seat the new display

    Align the top edge of the screen assembly first, then lower the rest of the display onto the chassis.

    Press edges to seal

    Press firmly along all four edges of the screen with your thumbs to securely bond the adhesive.
