Step-by-step

Heat the display edges
3 minUse a heat gun on low setting to warm the outer perimeter of the Pixel 7 screen for two minutes to soften the screen adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the front display screen.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide an opening pick under the display seam.

Slice the screen adhesive
5 minSlide the pick carefully along all four edges of the phone to cut through the perimeter display adhesive.

Open the display assembly

Disconnect the front camera

Disconnect the mmWave antenna cable
2 minUse tweezers to carefully lift the mmWave antenna connector near the top edge of the board.

Unplug lower coaxial antenna cables
3 minPry the two RF coaxial antenna cables off their gold posts on the bottom of the board.

Remove logic board retaining screws
3 minUnscrew the three T3 Torx screws holding the logic board down to the phone housing.

Pry up the logic board
2 minInsert a spudger under the bottom edge of the logic board and gently pry it out of the chassis recess.

Remove the logic board
2 minLift the logic board out of the phone body completely while ensuring no loose cables snag.
