Power off the phone
1 minTurn off your Google Pixel 7 completely before starting any disassembly to prevent electrical damage.

Heat the front screen edges
3 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the display for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the display glass and gently pull up to create a small gap.

Insert an opening pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created at the bottom edge between the screen and frame.

Slice the screen adhesive
3 minCarefully slide the pick around the left, right, and top perimeter of the display to separate the adhesive.

Lift open the display
1 minSwing the display open from the right edge toward the left edge like a book.

Unscrew the display bracket
2 minUse a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the metal display cable bracket.

Remove the display bracket
1 minLift the metal display cable shield out of the chassis using precision tweezers.

Disconnect the display flex cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the display cable press connector straight up from the motherboard.

Remove the display panel
1 minSet the screen assembly aside in a clean, safe area.

Unscrew the midframe cover
3 minRemove the T3 Torx screws securing the dark midframe shield to the body of the phone.

Remove the midframe cover
2 minCarefully pry up and remove the midframe shield to expose the internal components.

Disconnect the battery cable
1 minPry the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

Unscrew the lower speaker module
2 minRemove the T3 Torx screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

Remove the loudspeaker module
2 minPry up the lower speaker module with a spudger and remove it from the lower frame.

Disconnect the ribbon cable
1 minPry up the interconnect flex cable connector attached to the top of the USB-C daughterboard.

Unclip coaxial antenna cables
2 minUse tweezers to carefully detach the two antenna coaxial cables from the USB-C board connectors.

Unscrew the charging port board
2 minRemove the remaining T3 Torx screws holding the USB-C charging port daughterboard in place.

Remove the charging port board
2 minGently lift the damaged USB-C daughterboard out of the phone frame using tweezers.

Install replacement charging port board
2 minPosition the new USB-C daughterboard into the bottom frame recess until it sits flat.

Secure the charging port board
2 minReinstall and tighten the T3 Torx screws to lock the new daughterboard to the chassis.

Reconnect ribbon and antenna cables
2 minSnap the main flex cable and two antenna coaxial cables back into their daughterboard sockets.

Reinstall the loudspeaker module
2 minPlace the loudspeaker module over the bottom assembly and tighten its securing screws.

Reconnect the battery cable
1 minPress the battery connector firmly back onto the motherboard press socket.

Reattach the midframe cover
2 minAlign the midframe shield over the chassis and drive the T3 Torx screws back in.

Apply display adhesive
3 minClean remaining adhesive off the frame with isopropyl alcohol and lay down fresh precut screen adhesive.

Connect display cable and bracket
2 minPress the display flex cable onto the motherboard socket and reinstall the metal bracket with its screws.

Seal display to frame
2 minAlign the display over the phone frame and firmly press along all edges to set the adhesive.
