Step-by-step

Power off the Pixel 7
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then select Power Off on the screen.

Heat the bottom rear edge
2 minApply heat to the bottom edge of the back glass for 2 minutes using a heat gun set to low heat.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass and press down firmly to secure a tight seal.

Create an entry gap
2 minPull up on the suction cup handle to create a slight gap between the glass panel and the aluminum frame.

Insert an opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge of the device.

Heat the side edges
2 minWarm the left and right sides of the back panel for about 90 seconds to soften the side adhesive.

Slice the side adhesive
3 minSlide the opening pick around the bottom corners and up along both sides to cut through the frame adhesive.

Heat near the camera visor
2 minApply heat directly above and around the camera visor area for 2 minutes to loosen the strong top adhesive.

Slice adhesive around the camera visor
3 minCarefully guide the opening pick along the upper seam where the rear glass meets the metal camera bar.

Remove the damaged back glass
2 minLift the rear glass completely off the phone frame, using tweezers to remove any remaining loose glass pieces.

Clean the phone frame
4 minScrape away old adhesive strips using a spudger and clean the frame perimeter with isopropyl alcohol.

Apply new adhesive strips
3 minPeel the protective backing from the custom back glass adhesive and press it evenly onto the cleaned frame.

Install the replacement back glass
2 minRemove the remaining adhesive film, align the new rear glass precisely with the camera visor, and press down firmly along all edges.
