Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or thin paperclip into the small hole on the left edge of the phone. Push inward to pop out the SIM tray and remove it.

Heat Front Display
3 minApply heat to the front perimeter of the screen using a heat gun on low for 2–3 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the display screen and pull upward firmly to create a tiny gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge. Keep the pick insertion depth under 3mm to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

Slice Perimeter Adhesive
5 minSlide the pick around the bottom, left, top, and right edges to slice through the adhesive holding the display screen.

Hinge Display Open
2 minCarefully lift the screen up from the left edge like a book cover. Do not pull it away completely yet, as it remains connected by a display cable.

Unscrew Display Shield
2 minRemove the two Torx T3 screws holding the metal bracket over the display cable connection.

Disconnect Display Cable
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the display flex cable straight up off its motherboard socket and set the screen aside.

Unscrew Midframe Plate
4 minRemove the 13 Torx T3 screws securing the midframe and graphite heat shield plate.

Remove Midframe Shield
2 minUse tweezers or a spudger to lift the midframe plate out of the phone body.

Disconnect Battery Press Connector
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up off the logic board using the flat end of a spudger to isolate power.

Disconnect Rear Camera Array
3 minDisconnect the three rear camera flex cables from the top section of the logic board.

Disconnect Interconnect Cables
3 minUnplug the front camera connector, 5G antenna flex, and lower daughterboard interconnect cables from the motherboard.

Unscrew Motherboard Anchors
2 minRemove the two Torx T3 screws holding the logic board to the aluminum enclosure.

Lift Out Logic Board
3 minGently pry up the top edge of the logic board with a spudger and remove it from the phone chassis.
