   Power down phone

   Press and hold power button and select Power Off. Ensure phone is completely shut down before starting.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert SIM eject tool into hole on bottom-left side of phone. Push firmly to pop out SIM tray and remove it.

   Heat screen edges

   Apply heat gun around display edges for 2 minutes to soften screen adhesive.

   Apply suction cup

   Attach suction cup to lower half of screen near bottom edge. Pull gently to create small gap between display and frame.

   Insert plastic prying pick into gap between screen display assembly and frame.

   Slide plastic pick around entire frame perimeter to slice display adhesive completely.

   Open screen display

   Gently swing screen open from right edge like book. Do not pull screen completely off yet.

    Position new USB-C port precisely over cleaned contact pads on motherboard.
