   Power off device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to turn off the phone completely.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole near the bottom-left edge to pop out and remove the tray.

   Heat screen perimeter

   Apply a heat gun set to low temperature along all four edges of the display for two minutes.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower third of the glass display near the USB-C port.

   Slice bottom adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup and insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam along the bottom edge.

   Slice side adhesives

   Slide the pick carefully along the left and right edges to cut through the screen adhesive tape.

   Slice top adhesive

   Cut through the top adhesive edge, taking care not to insert the pick deeper than 3 mm.

   Pivot display open

   Lift the screen from the right side like a book page to expose the internal components.

   Unscrew screen bracket

   Use a Torx T3 driver to remove the screw securing the metal display cable shield.

    Disconnect display cable

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the display connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Remove midframe screws

    Unscrew all visible Torx screws securing the metal midframe plate and set them aside.

    Lift off midframe

    Gently lift the midframe and attached graphite heat transfer sheet off the main frame.

    Disconnect battery flex cable

    Pry the battery press connector off its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Drip a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom battery edges.

    Pry battery out

    Insert a wide plastic pry tool under the battery and slowly lift it from the phone chassis.

    Clean battery compartment

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the battery well using alcohol and a clean cloth.

    Apply fresh adhesive

    Apply new double-sided battery adhesive strips to the back of your replacement battery.

    Insert new battery

    Lower the replacement battery into the frame and press firmly across its surface for 10 seconds.

    Connect battery flex cable

    Align and press down on the battery connector until it snaps into place on the motherboard.

    Reinstall midframe

    Position the metal midframe over the motherboard and tighten all saved Torx screws.

    Connect display flex cable

    Align and press the display flex cable connector onto its motherboard socket.

    Secure display bracket

    Place the metal display shield over the cable and tighten its single Torx T3 screw.

    Reseal and install display

    Align the screen with the body edges and firmly press around the perimeter to seal the display.
