   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button and volume up button simultaneously. Select 'Power off' on the screen to shut down the device completely.

   Heat the display edges

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer perimeter of the screen for two minutes to soften the frame adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the front glass. Pull upward with firm, constant pressure to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass screen and the outer frame.

   Slice bottom perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick back and forth along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Slice left edge adhesive

   Guide the pick around the bottom-left corner and up the left side, inserting no deeper than 3mm to avoid internal components.

   Slice right edge adhesive

   Insert a second pick on the right side and slide it upward to separate the adhesive along the right bezel.

   Slice top edge adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick across the top edge of the screen, taking care not to damage the front speaker area.

   Pry open the screen

   Gently lift the bottom edge of the display assembly up like a book cover, pivoting from the top edge.

    Unscrew display cable bracket

    Use a precision screwdriver to remove the T2 Torx screw securing the metal connector cover bracket.

    Remove display bracket

    Grasp the metal cover bracket with tweezers and lift it off the motherboard.

    Disconnect screen cable

    Pry the display flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket using the flat end of a spudger.

    Remove the old display

    Lift the entire screen assembly off the phone frame and place it aside.

    Scrape residual adhesive

    Use a plastic spudger to scrape away all remaining black adhesive residue from the perimeter of the aluminum frame.

    Clean frame perimeter

    Dampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and thoroughly wipe down the inside recess of the frame.

    Apply new screen adhesive

    Align and lay down the pre-cut replacement adhesive strips along the top, sides, and bottom frame channels.

    Connect replacement screen cable

    Align the flex connector of the new display over the socket and press firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall display bracket

    Position the metal shield back over the connector and tighten the single T2 Torx screw.

    Peel adhesive backing

    Use tweezers to peel off the protective blue film strips covering the fresh frame adhesive.

    Align and set display

    Carefully position the top edge of the new display glass into the frame groove, then lower the bottom half into place.

    Press edges to seal

    Apply firm, uniform finger pressure all along the perimeter of the glass screen to lock the adhesive seal.
