Step-by-step

Power down device
1 minTurn off your Pixel 6 Pro completely before beginning the repair.

Heat display edges
2 minApply heat with a heat gun around the screen perimeter for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup
2 minSecure a suction cup to the lower portion of the front screen and pull upward gently to create a small gap.

Slice display adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic pick into the gap and slide it along the edges to sever the display adhesive.

Remove display connector bracket

Disconnect display flex cable

Peel graphite thermal tape
2 minGently lift and peel back the graphite cooling sheet covering the internal midframe.

Remove midframe screws

Remove midframe cover

1 minPry up the flex cable connector for the bottom daughterboard that houses the primary microphone.

Remove lower board screws
2 minUnscrew the Torx T5 screws holding the lower daughterboard assembly in place.

Remove defective microphone board
2 minGently pry up the daughterboard containing the damaged microphone from the chassis.

Install replacement microphone board
2 minAlign the new microphone daughterboard into the frame recess and press it firmly into position.
