   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the display edges

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer around the perimeter of the screen for two minutes. This softens the strong adhesive securing the panel.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass display. Press down firmly to secure a tight seal.

   Create an opening gap

   Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to lift the glass slightly from the frame. Look for a tiny gap along the bottom seam.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the bottom glass edge. Do not push the pick deeper than 3 mm to avoid component damage.

   Slice bottom edge adhesive

   Slide the opening pick back and forth along the bottom rim of the phone. This separates the adhesive holding the lower screen edge.

   Slice right edge adhesive

   Move the pick around the bottom-right corner and slice upward along the right edge. Reapply heat if the adhesive offers heavy resistance.

   Slice top edge adhesive

   Guide the pick around the top-right corner and slide across the top seam. Be careful near the earpiece speaker mesh.

   Slice down the left side of the display carefully. Keep the pick shallow on this side because the display flex cable is located nearby.

    Open the display

    Gently swing the top of the display open like a book, hinging at the left side. Do not strain or pull the attached ribbon cable.

    Unscrew the connector bracket

    Use a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal cable bracket. Set the small screw in a safe organizer tray.

    Remove the cable bracket

    Use tweezers to lift the metal protective bracket off the motherboard connector. Store it alongside its screw.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Pry the display flex cable press-connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. Never use metal tools on ribbon sockets.

    Remove the old screen

    Lift the entire display assembly off the frame and set it aside. Inspect the phone chassis for loose glass fragments.

    Clean the frame rim

    Scrape away old adhesive strips and wipe the inner frame ledge using high-concentration isopropyl alcohol. A clean frame ensures proper bonding for the new screen.

    Apply new screen adhesive

    Peel the backing off the pre-cut replacement display adhesive and lay it onto the cleaned frame rim. Press firmly along all edges, then remove the top protective liner.

    Connect the new screen flex cable

    Align the press-connector of the new display over the socket on the motherboard. Gently press down until it snaps into place with a clear click.

    Place the cable bracket

    Position the metal shield bracket over the screen cable connector. Ensure the screw hole aligns perfectly with the motherboard mount.

    Secure the bracket screw

    Thread and tighten the single T3 Torx screw into the metal shield bracket. Do not overtighten to prevent strip damage.

    Press the screen into place

    Align the top of the screen assembly with the frame edges and press it gently down into position. Apply light pressure around all four borders to seal the adhesive.
