Step-by-step

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the SIM tray. Remove the tray and place it in a safe spot.

Heat the back glass
3 minApply heat evenly across the rear panel using a heat gun set to low for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive. Do not concentrate heat in one spot for too long.

Attach the suction cup
2 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass cover and press firmly to seal. Pull upward on the ring to create a slight gap between the glass and the body.

Slice the rear adhesive

Remove the rear glass

3 minPop the display ribbon cable and lower daughterboard interconnect flex cable off their board sockets using a spudger. Ensure no flex cables cover the board edges.

Remove the motherboard mounting screws
3 minUnscrew the remaining retaining screws holding the motherboard to the phone chassis. Place the screws in a organizer tray to keep them separated.

Extract the logic board
3 minInsert a spudger under the bottom edge of the motherboard containing the Titan M security chip and lift it out of the chassis. Avoid flexing the board as you remove it.
