   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button until the options menu appears. Tap Power Off and wait for the screen to turn completely dark.

   Heat the rear glass edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the outer edges of the rear glass for 2-3 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the back cover.

   Attach suction cup to back glass

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass panel. Firmly press down to secure the suction.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge. Slide a thin opening pick into the gap.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the device to cut through the adhesive seal. Reapply heat if the pick encounters heavy resistance.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Gently lift the back glass off the phone frame. Set the glass panel aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew upper midframe shield

   Use a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper wireless charging assembly and bracket.

   Disconnect the wireless charging coil

   Insert the flat edge of a spudger under the wireless charging coil press-connector. Pry straight up to disconnect it.

   Remove wireless charging coil assembly

   Carefully lift the wireless charging pad and midframe shield up and off the phone frame.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard.

    Expose adhesive pull tabs

    Locate the stretch-release adhesive pull tabs at the top and bottom of the battery. Use tweezers to unpeel the black tips of the tabs.

    Pull out adhesive strips

    Slowly pull each adhesive strip out at a low angle parallel to the phone frame. Keep steady tension until the entire strip releases.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol if tabs break

    If an adhesive tab snaps, drop a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol under the edge of the battery. Let it sit for two minutes to weaken the glue.

    Pry out the old battery

    Insert a plastic opening card under the side of the battery. Gently lift the battery out of the recess without bending it.

    Clean the battery well

    Wipe down the battery compartment with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove residual adhesive.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Peel the protective backing off new adhesive strips and stick them to the rear of the new battery.

    Install the replacement battery

    Lower the new battery into the housing and press down firmly to secure it. Connect the battery cable temporarily to ensure proper alignment, then disconnect it again.

    Reinstall wireless charging coil pad

    Place the wireless charging assembly back onto the frame. Reconnect its cable press-connector and tighten all T3 Torx screws.

    Reconnect battery press-connector

    Press the battery cable connector straight down onto the motherboard until it snaps into place.

    Apply rear glass adhesive and seal

    Apply precut adhesive to the perimeter frame. Align the back glass cover and press firmly along all edges to reseal the phone.
