   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely powered down before beginning.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply heat around the perimeter of the back glass for 2 minutes using a heat gun. This softens the factory waterproof adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower section of the rear glass near the USB-C port. Pull up gently to create a slight gap between the glass and frame.

   Insert a plastic pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert deeper than 3 mm to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice bottom adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom edge of the device to cut through the adhesive seal. Leave the pick in place to prevent the glass from re-adhering.

   Slice side adhesive

   Reheat the left and right edges, then run an opening pick up both sides of the rear glass. Use caution around the volume and power buttons.

   Slice top adhesive

   Slide the pick across the top edge of the rear glass to finish separating the adhesive. Ensure all sides are fully released before lifting.

   Remove the rear glass

   Gently lift the back glass off the body of the phone and set it aside safely. Scrape off any hanging adhesive strips left along the frame.

   Unscrew the midframe cover

   Remove the T3 Torx screws securing the wireless charging pad and plastic midframe assembly. Keep track of each screw for reassembly.

    Remove the wireless charging coil

    Lift the wireless charging pad and attached upper midframe shield out of the frame. Use tweezers to gently unlatch any plastic retaining clips.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. Never use metallic tools on live battery connectors.

    Expose adhesive pull tabs

    Locate the stretch-release adhesive pull tabs at the base of the battery. Unpeel the black plastic tab tips from the battery casing using tweezers.

    Pull first adhesive strip

    Grasp one tab and pull it slowly away from the battery at a flat, shallow angle. Maintain steady tension until the strip slides out completely.

    Pull second adhesive strip

    Slowly pull the remaining adhesive tab out using the same flat angle. If the strip breaks, apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol underneath.

    Remove the old battery

    Gently pry beneath the battery with a plastic spudger or card to break any remaining bond. Lift the battery out of the chassis.

    Clean the battery cavity

    Apply high-concentration isopropyl alcohol to a cloth and wipe away remaining adhesive residue from the housing. Let the area dry completely.

    Attach new adhesive strips

    Apply new stretch-release adhesive strips onto the back of the replacement battery. Remove the blue protective film once secured.

    Install the new battery

    Press the new battery firmly into the rear enclosure to set the adhesive. Connect the battery cable to the motherboard socket until it clicks.
