Step-by-step

Power off the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Heat the rear glass panel
3 minApply heat around the perimeter of the back cover for 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass near the USB-C port.

Create an opening seam
2 minPull up on the suction cup handle to create a tiny gap between the back glass and frame.

Insert opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam under the rear glass panel.

Slice perimeter adhesive
4 minMove the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the internal adhesive.

Open the rear panel
2 minGently hinge the rear glass panel open toward the right side of the phone frame.

Disconnect fingerprint sensor
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint reader press connector off the logic board.

Unscrew upper shield bracket

Remove motherboard shield

Disconnect battery cable

Remove wireless charging pad
3 minPeel the wireless charging coil away from the top of the battery assembly.

Disconnect front cameras

Disconnect antenna cables
2 minUse tweezers to unclip the coaxial antenna cables from the edges of the board.

Remove motherboard mounting screws
2 minRemove the remaining T3 Torx screws holding the logic board to the frame.

Extract the motherboard
3 minCarefully lift the motherboard containing the integrated Titan M chip out of the frame.
