Step-by-step

Heat the back panel
3 minApply heat evenly around the outer edges of the back glass using a heat gun to soften the rear adhesive.

Attach suction cup
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and gently pull upward to create a small gap.

Slice back panel adhesive
5 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it along the perimeter to slice through the adhesive.

Disconnect fingerprint sensor
2 minPivot the back glass open carefully, then use a spudger to detach the fingerprint reader ribbon cable.

Remove upper bracket screws
3 minUnscrew the T3 Torx screws holding the top plastic motherboard shield in place.

Detach upper bracket cover
2 minUse tweezers to lift and remove the upper shield bracket and graphite heat transfer sheet.

Disconnect battery cable

2 minUnplug the charging port interconnect flex cable and both coaxial antenna cables from the logic board.

Remove board mounting screws
3 minRemove the remaining T3 Torx screws securing the logic board to the aluminum chassis.

Lift logic board out
2 minGently pry under the bottom edge of the logic board with a spudger and lift it free from the phone frame.

Install replacement logic board
3 minAlign the replacement logic board over the internal chassis alignment posts and press it firmly into position.
