   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the display edges

   Use a heat gun or iOpener around the outer glass perimeter for two minutes to soften the adhesive. Keep the heat source moving to avoid damaging the OLED panel.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the bottom section of the glass display. Pull up gently to create a small gap between the glass and the phone frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slice carefully along the bottom edge to sever the adhesive.

   Slice side display adhesive

   Guide the opening pick along the left and right edges of the display. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 mm to avoid damaging underlying cables.

   Open the display panel

   Gently swing open the display from the right side like a book cover. Take care not to strain the delicate display ribbon cables attached at the top.

   Unscrew display cable bracket

   Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the metal bracket over the display cable connector. Lift the bracket out with tweezers.

   Disconnect display ribbon cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the display connector straight up from its motherboard socket. Remove the display assembly completely.

   Remove midframe screws

   Unscrew nine T5 Torx screws securing the internal midframe to the phone chassis. Store the screws in a organized tray for reassembly.

    Lift midframe shield

    Insert a spudger under the top lip of the midframe and lift it away from the body. Remove the midframe shield completely.

    Disconnect battery connector

    Pry the battery press connector straight up using a plastic spudger to disconnect power. Disconnecting battery power prevents electrical short circuits.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Use tweezers to carefully pry up the two antenna coaxial cables connected near the bottom USB-C daughterboard. Move them clear of the board.

    Unscrew USB-C daughterboard

    Remove the T5 Torx screws securing the charging port daughterboard to the lower housing. Keep track of the small grounding clip under one screw.

    Pry out old USB-C board

    Gently insert a spudger under the USB-C daughterboard and lift it out of the bottom cavity. Clean any debris from the port opening.

    Insert replacement charging port

    Align the new USB-C daughterboard into the bottom slot of the frame. Press down gently until it sits flush in the chassis.

    Secure daughterboard screws

    Reinstall the T5 Torx screws into the new daughterboard, ensuring the grounding clip is correctly positioned. Do not overtighten.

    Reconnect antenna cables

    Align the antenna cable snap connectors over their sockets on the daughterboard and press down gently until they click. Confirm both are firmly attached.

    Reconnect battery connector

    Align the battery flex cable over its socket and press straight down until it snaps in place.

    Reinstall midframe assembly

    Position the midframe back onto the phone chassis and press down along the edges. Fasten all nine T5 Torx screws securely.

    Attach screen flex cable

    Hold the display near the phone and press the screen ribbon cable connector firmly into its motherboard socket. Reinstall the metal bracket and two T5 screws.

    Apply display adhesive

    Apply pre-cut display adhesive strips onto the perimeter frame of the chassis. Remove the clear protective backing strips.

    Press display into frame

    Align the display glass carefully with the outer frame and press down firmly around all edges to seal the adhesive. Wipe down the glass with isopropyl alcohol.
