Step-by-step

Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Disconnect all cables before beginning.

Heat the rear glass visor
2 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the top glass section on the back for 2 minutes to soften the glue.

Insert an opening pick
2 minCarefully press the tip of a thin opening pick into the thin gap between the top glass visor and metal frame.

Slice the top adhesive
2 minSlide the opening pick horizontally across the entire upper edge of the rear glass panel to slice the adhesive.

Slice the side adhesive
2 minGuide the pick down both the left and right sides of the glass shade to free the lateral edges.

Pry up the glass visor
3 minUse a plastic opening tool to slowly pry the glass visor upward from the aluminum housing.

Clear the camera bezel
2 minLift the glass shade carefully around the rear camera lens cutouts to ensure the glass frees without catching.

Remove the broken glass
1 minLift the damaged back glass shade completely off the phone frame and discard it safely.

Clean adhesive residue
3 minDampen a microfiber cloth with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol and scrape remaining adhesive out of the frame recess.

Prepare replacement adhesive
1 minPeel the protective backing film from one side of the pre-cut rear glass adhesive strip.

Apply adhesive to housing
2 minAlign the pre-cut adhesive into the recessed channel on the rear aluminum body and press firmly into place.

Align the new glass visor
2 minPeel off the remaining adhesive film and precisely position the new glass shade over the camera lens cutout.

Press the glass into place
2 minApply firm, even pressure across the surface of the new glass visor for 1 minute to ensure a tight seal.
