   Heat the display glass

   Apply a heat gun or heating pad around the perimeter of the screen for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction handle on the lower third of the screen glass and pull up gently to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the bottom edge of the display glass.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Gently slide the pick back and forth along the bottom bezel to separate the adhesive.

   Slice the left edge adhesive

   Move the opening pick around the lower-left corner and up the left side of the screen.

   Slice the right edge adhesive

   Slide a pick along the right edge of the screen, taking care not to insert it too deeply near the buttons.

   Slice the top adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick across the top edge near the earpiece speaker, keeping the pick shallow.

   Lift the display glass

   Gently hinge the top edge of the display upward to access the display cable connector underneath.

   Remove display bracket screw

   Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal display cable bracket.

    Remove display cable bracket

    Use tweezers to lift the metal shield off the display flex connector.

    Disconnect display cable

    Pry the display flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket using a spudger.

    Remove midframe screws

    Unscrew the nine T5 Torx screws holding the plastic midframe panel to the rear enclosure.

    Pry up the midframe

    Insert a spudger into the seam along the side and lift the midframe panel out of the phone.

    Disconnect the battery

    Pry the battery connector straight up off the motherboard to prevent electrical shorting.

    Disconnect daughterboard ribbon

    Unplug the main flex ribbon cable connecting the motherboard to the bottom charging board.

    Unplug antenna cables

    Use tweezers to carefully detach the white and black antenna coaxial cables from the lower board.

    Remove charging board screws

    Remove the two T5 Torx screws securing the charging port board to the lower frame.

    Remove old charging board

    Pry the original charging port daughterboard up out of the lower chassis with a spudger.

    Set new charging board

    Align the replacement charging port board into its recess at the bottom of the enclosure.

    Secure charging board screws

    Reinstall and tighten the two T5 Torx screws to lock the daughterboard in place.

    Reconnect antenna cables

    Snap the black and white coaxial cable connectors back onto their matching headers on the board.

    Connect main ribbon cable

    Press the daughterboard main ribbon cable firmly onto its motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Reconnect battery connector

    Press the battery press-fit connector straight down into its motherboard socket.

    Reinstall the midframe

    Set the midframe back into the phone and secure it using the nine T5 Torx screws.

    Reconnect display cable

    Align and press the screen flex cable onto its socket on the motherboard.

    Reinstall display bracket

    Position the metal shield over the connector and tighten its single T5 Torx screw.

    Apply display adhesive

    Apply pre-cut display adhesive strips around the perimeter frame of the phone chassis.

    Seal the display

    Carefully press the screen assembly down onto the frame, applying firm, even pressure to seal it.
