   Power off the iPhone

   Press and hold the side button and volume down button until the slider appears, then slide to turn off the iPhone completely.

   Remove the Pentalobe screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 3.5 mm screws located on the bottom edge near the Lightning port.

   Heat the bottom edge

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the bottom edge of the phone for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower half of the front glass panel, just above the home indicator area.

   Lift the display slightly

   Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure to create a small gap between the screen and frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide an opening pick into the gap at the bottom edge of the phone to slice through the adhesive.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Move the pick carefully back and forth along the bottom edge to slice the water resistance seal.

   Slice the left side adhesive

   Slide the pick around the bottom-left corner and up the left edge to separate the adhesive.

   Slice the right side adhesive

   Reinsert the pick at the bottom right corner and slide up the right edge to break the seal.

    Open the display panel

    Swing the display open from the left side, like the cover of a book, resting it upright against a stable object.

    Unscrew the lower bracket cover

    Remove the three 1.2 mm Y000 screws securing the lower display connector bracket.

    Remove the lower bracket

    Use tweezers to lift the lower metal display bracket out of the phone chassis.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket.

    Use a spudger to detach the display panel cable connector from the logic board.

    Disconnect the digitizer cable

    Pry the digitizer cable connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

    Unscrew the sensor assembly bracket

    Remove the two Y000 screws holding the top sensor assembly bracket in place.

    Disconnect the front sensor assembly

    Disconnect the sensor assembly cable and set the display assembly completely aside.

    Peel lower adhesive pull-tabs

    Use tweezers to peel back the black tips of the lower battery adhesive strips from the bottom edge.

    Pull lower adhesive strips

    Slowly pull one adhesive strip at a low angle away from the battery until it releases completely.

    Pull remaining lower strip

    Repeat the slow pulling process for the second lower adhesive strip at a shallow angle.

    Peel upper adhesive pull-tabs

    Peel back the black pull-tab tips at the top edge of the battery.

    Pull upper adhesive strips

    Pull the two top adhesive strips one by one smoothly out from under the battery.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the original battery out of the chassis and dispose of it safely.

    Apply new adhesive strips

    Affix new adhesive strips to the back of the replacement battery, pressing firmly into place.

    Install the new battery

    Place the new battery into the housing, aligning the connector to ensure correct positioning before pressing down.

    Reconnect display cables and battery

    Reconnect the display cables, front sensor cable, and finally the battery press connector.

    Reinstall metal brackets

    Position the metal brackets over the connectors and tighten all Y000 screws securely.

    Close and secure display

    Align the top edge of the display, press down around the perimeter, and reinstall the two Pentalobe screws.
