   Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power slider appears. Slide to power off the iPhone XR completely before starting.

   Tape broken glass

   Cover the entire rear glass panel with overlapping strips of clear packing tape. This keeps loose shards contained and gives pry tools better leverage.

   Heat rear glass edges

   Apply heat evenly around the perimeter of the back glass with a heat gun set to low for two minutes. Softening the factory adhesive reduces force required to lift glass.

   Insert thin pry tool

   Wedge a thin metal razor or opening pick into the seam between the aluminum frame and the rear glass near the bottom edge. Keep tool insertion shallow to protect internal parts.

   Slice bottom adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the created gap and slice along the bottom seam. Work carefully around the speaker grills to sever the softened adhesive.

   Heat middle glass section

   Warm the central area of the back glass for 60 seconds to loosen adhesive around the wireless charging coil. Avoid concentrating high heat in one spot to prevent battery damage.

   Pry around wireless charging coil

   Slide a plastic pick beneath the glass near the middle of the phone, staying above the copper wireless charging coil. Pry gently so you do not tear the delicate charging film beneath.

   Clear camera lens perimeter

   Use precision tweezers to peel glass shards away from the camera bezel. Take extra care not to touch or scratch the rear camera lenses.

   Scrape frame residue

   Scrape remaining glass fragments and stubborn adhesive off the internal frame lip using a flat precision scraper tool. Work slowly around corner curves.

    Clean frame channel

    Wipe down the entire aluminum frame channel using a lint-free cloth dampened with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the mating surface is completely clean and free of oil or glass dust.

    Apply replacement adhesive

    Apply a thin, continuous line of B-7000 adhesive around the outer perimeter channel of the chassis and surrounding internal support pads.

    Position new back glass

    Align the replacement glass carefully starting at the camera bump opening. Press the rear glass squarely into the housing to seat it flush.

    Clamp device

    Attach spring clamps along the edges of the iPhone for at least 30 minutes to allow the adhesive to set. Wipe away any liquid glue squeeze-out with isopropyl alcohol.
