Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws on either side of the Lightning port.
- 3
Heat the Bottom Edge
2 minApply a warm heat gun or hair dryer to the lower edge of the phone for 2 minutes to soften the display adhesive.
- 4
Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower half of the display glass, just above the home button area.
- 5
Insert Opening Pick
2 minPull up firmly on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick under the screen bezel.
- 6
Slice Lower Display Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick along the bottom edge and up the left side of the iPhone to slice through the perimeter seal.
- 7
Slice Upper Display Adhesive
3 minCarefully slide the pick around the right and top edges to separate the remaining display adhesive.

Disconnect the Battery

- 11
Disconnect Display Cables
3 minDisconnect the OLED display cable, digitizer cable, and front sensor assembly flex cables from the logic board.
- 12
Remove Display Assembly

- 18
Reassemble Display and Bracket
