   Power Off the iPhone

   Press and hold the side button and volume down button until the slider appears. Slide to power off the device completely.

   Remove the Pentalobe Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.5 mm screws located on the bottom edge of the phone next to the Lightning port.

   Heat the Lower Edge

   Apply heat to the bottom edge of the phone using a heat gun for approximately 90 seconds to soften the screen adhesive.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the front glass assembly, just above the Home button.

   Pry Up the Display

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the front panel and the rear enclosure. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Left Edge Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick up the left edge of the phone to cut through the display adhesive, stopping before the top corner.

   Slice Right Edge Adhesive

   Reinsert the pick at the bottom edge and slide it up the right side to break the remaining side adhesive.

   Open the Screen Assembly

   Pull the display assembly slightly away from the top edge, then open the screen like a book from the left side.

   Remove Lower Bracket Screws

   Unscrew the four Phillips #00 screws securing the lower display connector bracket to the logic board.

    Remove the Lower Bracket

    Use tweezers to lift and remove the lower metal bracket covering the battery and display connectors.

    Disconnect the Battery

    Pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board using the flat end of a spudger.

    Disconnect Display Cables

    Use the spudger to pry the lower display cable and Touch ID cable connectors straight up from their sockets.

    Remove Upper Sensor Bracket Screws

    Unscrew the three Phillips #00 screws holding the upper sensor assembly bracket in place.

    Remove Upper Bracket and Disconnect Sensor

    Lift away the metal bracket, then disconnect the front sensor assembly cable from the logic board.

    Separate Display from Enclosure

    Lift the entire display assembly away from the rear enclosure and set the frame aside.

    Remove Home Button Bracket Screws

    Unscrew the four Y000 tri-point screws holding the Home button bracket to the back of the display.

    Remove Home Button Bracket

    Use tweezers to lift and remove the Home button retention bracket.

    Disconnect and Remove Home Button

    Pry up the Touch ID cable connector, gently heat the front glass below the button, and push the Home button through to the front.

    Transfer Earpiece Speaker and Front Camera

    Unscrew the upper speaker bracket, lift out the earpiece speaker and camera cable assembly, and install them onto the new screen.

    Install Home Button on New Screen

    Feed the Touch ID button through the front of the new display, connect the cable, and secure it with the bracket and Y000 screws.

    Apply New Display Adhesive

    Clean the edges of the aluminum enclosure with isopropyl alcohol and lay down a new pre-cut perimeter adhesive strip.

    Reconnect Cables and Close Phone

    Reconnect the upper sensor, display, and battery connectors, reinstall all metal brackets, then press the screen firmly into the frame.
